The Vidya Village Site (the "Site") is a multi-seller sales platform (the "Platform") that enables professionals acting as third-party sellers ("Sellers") to sell products and/or services ("Products") to buyers ("Buyers").
This privacy policy (the "Policy") describes how the Site collects, uses and protects the personal data of Site users, Sellers and Buyers.
1. Collection of personal data
In accordance with the provisions of Article 5 of European Regulation 2016/679, the collection and processing of data from users of the Site complies with the following principles:
- Legality, fairness and transparency: data may only be collected and processed with the consent of the user who owns the data. Whenever personal data is collected, the user will be informed that his or her data is being collected, and for what purpose the data is being collected;
- Limited purposes: the collection and processing of data is carried out to meet one or more of the purposes set out in the GCU ;
- Minimization of data collection and processing: only the data necessary for the proper execution of the objectives pursued by the Site are collected;
- Data storage limited in time: data is stored for a limited period, of which the user is informed;
- Integrity and confidentiality of data collected and processed: the data controller undertakes to guarantee the integrity and confidentiality of the data collected.
In order to be lawful, and in accordance with the requirements of Article 6 of European Regulation 2016/679, the collection and processing of personal data may only take place if they comply with at least one of the conditions listed below:

The personal data collected on the Site is as follows: First names, surnames, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, postal address.
This data is collected when the user (Seller or Buyer) registers on the Site and/or subscribes to the Newsletter, and when he/she places an order for an event, trip, stay, training course or, more generally, for any Products or Services offered by the Platform.
Special case of personal data of minors:
In accordance with the provisions of Article 8 of European Regulation 2016/679 and the French Data Protection Act, only minors aged fifteen (15) or over may consent to the processing of their personal data.
If the user is a minor under the age of fifteen (15), the consent of a legal representative will be required before personal data can be collected and processed.
The Site also uses cookies to improve the user experience and collect usage data. The conditions of use of cookies are described in the Cookies policy and the GTCU.
2. Use of personal data
The Site uses the personal data of Sellers and Buyers to :
- the creation of their personal space,
- bringing together Sellers and Buyers to enable the sale and purchase of Products or Services listed on the Site.
When purchasing a product or service through the Site, you may be asked to provide personal data to a Seller.
In this case, the Seller is responsible for the processing of such data and must do so in accordance with its own privacy statement. The Site is not liable for any damages you may suffer as a result of a Seller's processing of your personal data.
The Site may also use personal data to communicate with Sellers and Buyers, to improve the User experience and, when accepted by Buyers or Sellers, to propose personalized offers via newsletters or any other communication campaign.
The Site does not sell the personal data of Sellers and Buyers to third parties.
3. Protection of personal data
The Site is committed to protecting the personal data of Sellers and Buyers.
The Site uses appropriate security measures to protect personal data from unauthorized use, disclosure or access.
4. Retention period of personal data
The Platform, as the data controller, will keep all the data collected in the Site's computer systems under reasonable security conditions for a period of: five (5) years, unless the user requests its deletion before the expiry of this period.
When personal data is recorded, the user is informed of the period for which his or her data will be kept, and when this period cannot be specified, the Platform informs him or her of the criteria used to determine it.
Data is collected and processed for the following purposes:
In order to better target the advertisements and products offered to the user on the Site, and to improve the Platform's offering.
Data may be transmitted to the following third parties: Vendor partners in the organization of events, trips, stays, retreats, seminars, courses, workshops or in the delivery of any Products or Services offered by the Platform. In such a case, the Platform will not be responsible for the processing of your personal data by the aforementioned third parties.
5. User rights and procedures for implementing user rights
In accordance with the regulations concerning the processing of personal data, the user has the rights listed below.
In order for the data controller to comply with the request, the user must provide :

The data controller is obliged to respond to the user within a maximum of thirty (30) days.
a. Right of access, rectification and the right to be forgotten
Users may view, update, modify or request the deletion of their personal data by following the procedure set out below:
The user must contact the person responsible for processing personal data, indicating the purpose of the request, by email to contact@vidyavillage.com.
If he/she has one, the user has the right to request the deletion of his/her personal space by following the procedure below:
The user must send an e-mail to the above address, requesting unsubscription and deletion of his account. The request will be processed within ten (10) days.
b. Right to data portability
The user has the right to request the portability of his personal data, held by the Site, to another site by complying with the procedure below:
The user must make a request to the Site by contacting it by e-mail at the address indicated herein, and indicating precisely his request.
c. Right to limit and object to data processing
Finally, the user has the right to request that the Site limit or object to the processing of his or her data, without the Site being able to refuse, unless it can demonstrate the existence of legitimate and compelling reasons, which may override the interests and rights and freedoms of the user.
d. Right to determine the fate of data after death
Users are reminded that they can organize what is to become of their collected and processed data if they die, in accordance with law no. 2016-1321 of October 7, 2016.
e. Right to appeal to the competent supervisory authority
In the event that the data controller decides not to respond to the user's request, and the user wishes to contest this decision, he/she is entitled to refer the matter to the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés, https://www.cnil.fr) or to any competent court.

In the event that the integrity, confidentiality or security of the user's personal data is compromised, the data controller undertakes to inform the user by any means necessary.
